Moulie Vidas joined the faculty of the Department of Religion in 2012. His recent publications include Tradition and the Formation of the Talmud (Princeton University Press, 2014) and a collection of essays, co-edited with Catherine Chin, titled Late Ancient Knowing: Explorations in Intellectual History (University of California Press, 2015). He serves on the editorial boards of the book series Texts and Studies in Ancient Judaism and The Journal of Religion in the Roman Empire. He is currently working on a book titled The Emergence of Talmudic Culture: Scholarship and Religion in Late Ancient Palestine.
